Report on the Talk on Teenager Issues, Mental Health and Current Challenges Faced by Youngsters A talk on “Teenager Issues, Mental Health, Infatuation and Other Current Challenges Faced by Youngsters” was organized for all the students on Friday, 21 August 2026. The session was conducted by Dr. Vidya Vinutha Dsouza, Head of the Department and Associate Professor, PG Department of Social Work, St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Mangalore. She is an experienced academician, researcher and trainer who has conducted more than 300 workshops on various topics including communication, leadership, personality development, gender equality, human rights and related areas. The talk focused on the challenges commonly faced by teenagers and young people, with emphasis on mental health, emotional well-being, relationships, infatuation and responsible decision-making. The session provided students with valuable insights and encouraged them to understand their emotions, deal with challenges positively and make healthy and responsible choices. The programme was informative and engaging, and the students benefited greatly from the valuable guidance and insights shared by the resource person.
