Carmel Composite Pre-University College,Modankap, Bantwal started by the Apostolic Carmel sisters in 2000, is a minority Educational Institutions as per the constitutions of India, Article No. 30 (1). The Apostolic Carmel Congregation was founded by Mother Veronica of the Passion(1823-1906) in Bayonne, France, in 1868 is completing 150 years of its existence in 2018.
